History of the internet and how the web works

Major technology came about in the 1960 which is what we call the internet.  In 1965 the email was came upon by a man named Doug Engelbart he not only was the creator of email but also came up with the first hyperlink text.  Before email came along most still used internet to connect with one another.  The internet email was later came up with in 1967.  In 1969 the internet cam in as we know it now.
By 1971 the internet was in full use within the 1970s.  Email became the main use in 73 and the first mailing list came out in 75.  A program called CBBS created by War Christensen came up with the first bulletin board system. It is thought that it took him two weeks to come up with the system which let people in to share their different software they had. Within the next year a similar system was created called the usenet and then MUDs (Multi-User Dungeons) a media game where you killed dungeons in the game World of War Craft.
The birth of IM was created in 1982 when Minitel created an online chess game with a chat room for the players.  Later people learned to create faces and shorter words for the internet considered emoticon. By 1990 the World Wide Web was created for CERN and then in 1995 people were able to create their own personal homepage.  From the year 2000 on the internet became the most advanced seen in years with new websites such as myspace and facebook the most well known to my generation.
